A televition news report: Formal, simple and official language. No irony or sarcasm
A televition opinion piece: Informal, simple language. Maybe some sarcasm or irony to add a sene of humor to the scene.
A newspaper editorial: Informal, but maybe some more complex language. No irony or jargon as it need to be respectfull.
A political columnist's blog: Formal complicated language, but using irony or sarcasm to criticalize some aspects of the politician that is being talked about in the thread.
A celebrity profile in a magazine: Some formal aspects, but simple as a magazine needs to be easily understood by he people.
A sports broadcast: Informal simple laguange, but using a lot of sport related jargon and specific language.
A political speech: Formal and technical language.
An advertisement: Depending on the product, but usually the simplest language ever used.
