Analizing texts

I will be analyzing the text on the page 75 of our CC applying all I've learnt.

The forst thing I noticed was the story told in first person, this makes the reader be more into de mood, because he can feel as the narrator is him.
All the text bases in that doesn't matters when you're dead, you can be a millionare, the best or the worst man in the world but then... what?

This story shows an unhappy man, that after breaking up with a girl, starts thinking that dying won't be so bad at all. The time in wich this text was written may have something to do with this content, because this was written in the second world war, were people didn't actually had a lot of... didn't wanted to live, or it didn't matters.

The main characters wants to die, in all the text the motiv is the "hate" to live, but this may be taken as a tutorial or a lesson of what we don't need to do. Maybe, the text wants us to live! To enjoy the life and do not copy the attitudes of this character.
